health-care provider can give you great
information about pregnancy, nutrition
and physical activity, maintaining a
healthy body weight before, during
and after your pregnancy. Choose
foods high in folate, and ask your
health-care provider about daily
multivitamins (with 0.4 to 1.0 mg of
folic acid; ideally starting three months
before pregnancy) and not smoking,
drinking or using recreational drugs
when thinking about getting pregnant
and during pregnancy.
Once your baby arrives, it’s
important to remember that a child’s
development will progress at a steady
rate, but in their own unique way right
into their mid-20s.

is and is not safe. Have patience, and
understand that it takes a lot of time
