Launched in May 2011, the
MyHealth.Alberta.ca website gives
you reliable health information and
tools. The site’s content is reviewed by
Alberta health-care professionals, so
it offers the same advice your doctor,
nurse or pharmacist would give you.
The site averages about 100,000
visitors a month. That number is
expected to increase as MyHealth.
Alberta.ca adds new features.

PHR will let you set up and keep your
own health record and download data

from the province’s electronic health
record, Alberta Netcare. This will
include things such as prescriptions
filled at community pharmacies,
hospital visits, surgeries and various
tests and X-rays or MRIs.
You will be able to use the PHR
with devices such as blood pressure
monitors and fitness bands (for
example, the Fitbit Flex and Jawbone).
And you will be able to keep your own
logs and journals—on sleep, exercise or
family medical history—to track your
and your family’s health and well-being.
MyHealth.Alberta.ca is working
to change the way Albertans use
the health system. With upcoming,
advanced features such as online
consultations, prescription renewal
and appointment requests, it will be
faster and easier for Albertans to get
the information and support they need.
