1 COLLEEN BIONDI
One life-changing moment was the day I stepped
into a local hospice to volunteer. Spending time
with people at this intimate time has helped me
understand the fragility of life and the importance
of being the best I can be every day. It has been
both an honour and a privilege.
2 ROBYN BRAUN
I noticed in my early 20s that I frequently
experienced life-changing moments when I was
lost. Since then I try to leave the house without
knowing exactly where I¹m going at least once
3 CONNIE BRYSON
Standing in a university lab and realizing that
I didn’t have what it takes to make research a
viable career. That moment prompted a serious
consideration of the question: What do I really
want to do? I found the answer in writing.
4 JEFF COLLINS
Mom was gentle, but firm. “You are too fond of
three meals a day, and a warm bed, to handle the
sacrifice it will take to make a living as an actor.”
She was right as usual. I turned to broadcasting
as my stage, and spent 30 happy years in radio.
5 SHALLON CUNNINGHAM
My greatest life-changing moment was when I
found out I was pregnant last year. It encouraged
me and continues to encourage me to make
healthy lifestyle and eating choices as the
long-term effect no longer stops at me, but also
affect my child.
6 SANDY NICHOLS
I used to love the rain! During the heavy rain in
2006, we experienced flooding in our basement. I
remember watching helplessly as a small waterfall
poured in through the window and we frantically
tried to remove what we could. Heavy rain often
makes me uneasy now.
